Continued from From Sungai Petani to Kuala Kedah then to Langkawi Island

Lunch… Lunch… Lunch… We were all hungry. The tour guide took us to eat lunch at a restaurant near sea side. The food over there were normal only. We just filled up our stomach there. After lunch, we wondering around there and took some photo.

Sea… I want to play water!!!

Yeah!!! We went to our first destination at Langkawi Island - gamat factory. What is gamat? Gamat is the Malay word of sea cucumber and it refers to medicinal remedies made from any of several species of the animal. What were we doing there? It was part of the tour program. We have no choice to go there because the tour guide need to earn tips. So they brought us there. We saw how the gamat was cooked and packaged. We even touch the oil in gamat pot which was boiling. It was hot hot hot!!! But it did not burn our skin though.

Ah… It was hot!!!

We just wondering over there for a while only. We didn’t buy anything. Some of the others might have. Don’t know… We just not interested with gamat anyway. Our heart were on our next station - Underwater World Langkawi.

By the way, if you want to go anywhere in Malaysia. Better plan the trip yourself. So that you do not need to go the place that you don’t want. And you have all the time you want and freedom too.
