How camera lenses are made?

Do you know how camera lenses are made? I brought Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM and Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM lens lately. They are expensive. I wonder why it is so expensive. Find out your own answer here…

mostly is the glass quality to have a good picture…

this video really nice, i get know alot thing from there…

haha… cannot have single dust during the production, what a hard job

Yup. The lens will determine the photo quality. Good lens tends to be heavy too.

For most amateurs, we may not know the difference between an average lens and good lens. But most pros are defined by the lens they own.

no wonder so exp. My dear is eye-ing on the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM that you got. It is exp!

yogi: Good lens has better quality and faster shutter speed.
doreen: Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM lens is much more expensive than Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. It took quite some time to get that lens.
