Penang International Lantern Festival 2007 at Auto-City

Yeah… It is fun to visit Penang International Lantern Festival 2007 at Auto-City. It has a lot of beautiful and cute lantern over there. The festival started from 15 September until 31 December 2007. Therefore, you still got chance to visit there. Hurry up and go to see those cute Hello Kitty and friends. By the way, the entrance fee is RM15 per person while Hotlink and Maxis user is RM12 per person. My friend informed me that you will get 1 entrance fee free when you buy 1 during weekday.

Penang International Lantern Festival 2007 at Auto-City

There are a lot of lanterns at Auto-City’s Penang International Lantern Festival 2007. I took some photography of them. There are Hello Kitty, its friends, safari animal and dinosaur too.

Wow… There are lots of lanterns. Too bad that I did not manage to take all of their photography. Why? Because it was raining during half of our journey. And rain like cats and dogs. Anyway, we managed to take some of our photography with these cute lanterns before raining.

The sky did not perform well that day. We waited for at least one hour and the rain still did not stop. So what did we do? Take photography, SMS with mobile phone and wondering around…

I would like to visit Penang International Lantern Festival again if I have the free time. And I will make sure it will not raining this time.

Wow! the laterns are awesome!

I took the picture of the penang bridge from the auto city restaurant on my last biz trip to Kulim/Penang. I did not managed to go into the exhibition hall.

Hi TZ, you still have the chance to visit it while you in Penang. Auto-City is not far from Penang Island.

I been Autocity before, but i never go Lantern Festival, look like not so attracting, and the fee is quite high.

Great, all laterns are huge. I like the animal & dinarsor laterns, looked real.

dicky: So dicky a grow up lo. Don’t like to see cute cute stuffs. The fee is still ok for me. I am willing to pay for it because I seldom travel to Auto-City much. Can’t miss the chance when I am there.

It rained when I was there too. It’s troublesome especially when you want to take a shot of the lanterns (they are nice). You will be like one hand holding the umbrella and another trying to take good shot. So, a disposal raincoat is strongly recommended. Plus, try not to wear long pants. Raining season ma. It will be muddy.

Hi cozuni, we did not bring any umbrella or rain coat that time. So could not take any shot after it was raining.

Normally I visit Lantern Festival at bkt Jalil Kuala Lumpur. Seems like the Hallo Kitty much more beautiful than other animel lantern hehe

You’ve got a very nice happenning blog. Keep it up.
You own a Canon EOS400D too. =)
Its very fun and easy to use. I’ve tried many DSLRs and I still very much prefer Canon EOS400D.
Work hard with the cam and with your external flash, I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with really good pictures. Just train your skills. =)

The festival end at 31 Dec 2007. You should still see Hello Kitty last month. I wonder is it still there now…

Knoe this is a lil late. But they are lovely photographs. During mid-autumn, there is also a lantern festival in Singapore Chinese Gardens - also with big floats. You might be interested in it

Btw, is this lantern festival only end of the year in Auto City?
