I’m not sure whether the S-Video to RCA method works for all laptops or all TVs or not.

If I’m not mistaken, I have experience that it doesn’t work (samsung TV quite new without S-Video).

Maybe you can try with other laptops and see?

Else just get a LCD tv with S-VIDEO! HEHE!

Got a Shell Citibank Card HP Compaq Presarion PC778 wireless Atheros.
Never have it working since day 1.
Downloaded drivers from hp.com but to no avail.
I don’t want to go to HP support centre as cannot find the time.
Please help..

I use custom equaliser. Bass is somewhere between mid-point and highest level. SRS Wow turned ON with default setting).

The distortion is quite bad.
Do you get the same distortion ?

What scheme did you use in Graphic Equaliser? Rock? Custom? The sound sure will be distorted if you pull the bar too high.

Wonder if you guys have this problem that I have for audio.
My notebook is HP model Presario C700 series model C777TU
Windows XP SP2
Windows Media Player v11

Whenever I play music, i do not have any problem, even when i turn on the SRS Wow Effect, it sounds OK.

But when the Graphic Equaliser is turned ON, and bass ramped up slightly, the sound become very distorted. This is the same whether i use the built-in speaker or a plugged in headphone.

Can someone verify if you have the same issue and how to solve this problem? I need to verify if this is a software or hardware issue, so that I can send it in to HP to fix if a hardware problem before warranty expires.
