Yeah… Finally, we reached our destination – Kerachut Beach. It is just a simple beach. There were almost no other people there during our visit. It was 1100 in the morning. Who want to go beach at this time?

No water during this period
What we did at Kerachut Beach? Nothing. Huh? Nothing. Yes, we just wondering around there and took photograph. And waiting for our boat to come. Oh… Some of us also ate there too.

Thanks for the great pictures! Penang look like a great destination, wish I can go there one day.
Yup. Penang is a great island to travel. There are a lot of interesting places there.
Hi Jayce,
Last week, I took some friends on an eco tour. I hired a boat and most definetely it was one of my best time.
We went into Kuala Singai Pinang Mangrove, then to the fishing village to see how boats and fishes were loaded off. Got back to Pantai Kerachut to observe turtle hatching and went to the gazebo to view the Meromictic Lake. It was low tide so we could not see the two layers effect of fresh and salt water.
I think by boat is more enjoyable cos we saw the shoreline where people stood the whole day fishing, then the indicator of Turtle Rock and Crocodile rock, it was so real like animal.
Climbing up Muka Head was worth it, my guide was good. Though we reached the lighthouse after 2pm, his friend who was the lighthouse keeper was still there and kept in open for us to view.
It was awesome!
Sungai Tukun was ok, too many people but we went at the time when locals ladies came out to dig for Kepah (shellfish)
The other place was the cultured fishing. Was nice to watch the rearers feeding the fishes.
cheers
I’m planning to go there this Friday, hopefully the weather is good. I really didn’t know we had such a place in Penang.
