The light is always orange for WiFi. We have to live with it like this for the moment.

You feel like a bit unpassion with me. I am sorry because I really don’t know much. I did install the quick launch driver that you given sp38171, unfortunately the light is still red/orange for wifi. I try to reinstall and reinstall, but it doesn’t work. I just thought would it be anythink else i forgotten or would it be not compatible or the hardware problem??

good to hear tat, as for the upper key for wireless, have u install the quick launch driver? once install, the switch will function but the light will remain orange then press refresh network list to find other wireless network

I manage to install the atheros AR5006X wireless network adapter but when I click on the wireless icon at the right hand side bottom “it show no wireless network found in range, make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on.” althought my area having wireless and i have try to press the on key at the left upper side. Do I need to set any other to on the wireless? Please help.

C, i believe u still haven’t extract xp32-5.3.0.56-whql.zip yet, u only browse it in the windows explorer tat’s why u can’t find the folder during the driver installation.
So wat must u do is create a new folder, then select all the 3 files and copy to the new folder or jus use winrar / winzip to extract the file and then re-do the steps that i mentioned in post no 98

I found it xp32-5.3.0.56-whql.zip……..but it show “internet explorer cannot download xp32-5.3.0.56-whql.zip from http://www.atheros.cz the connection with the server was reset”……………it is still not working.

I try it before but can not browse that folder. i did try to open the http://www.atheros.cz as well can i down load from there but I am not sure which one should i use. i try the AR5001A, AR5111/AR5211, 32bit but also cannot work.

since u have extracted the files, go to device manager double click on the “ethernet controller” then click on install driver button, next select “install from a list or specific location”, browse to the folder where u have extracted the files and press “OK”. Press Next to continue, the driver will then be installed.

I have try but I m not very sure how to manual update the atheros. I click into the atheros AR2425 WLAN b/g that u given, it link me to the file xp32-5.3.0.56-whql.zip. I open the file. It show 3 files only; ar5211.sys, net5211.cat, net5211.inf. How to do manual update??

I have reinstall the sound driver. I think it works now. i know because my wifi is not working so I unable to open the file for UAA. So now my problem is wifi. I down load the 3 that you recommend but it doesnot work
