PIKOM PC Fair 2008 is held at several places in Malaysia. The one that I visited is located at PISA, Penang. Wow… PIKOM PC Fair… The last time I visited PIKOM PC Fair at PISA, Penang was back in 4 or 5 years back. Why I did not visit PIKOM PC Fair lately? I was cheated by Mega Online on the last visit. The price given at PC Fair is more expensive than normal period. Besides, there was nothing special to see at PIKOM PC Fair at PISA, Penang. I long to visit PIKOM PC Fair at Kuala Lumpur. It is bigger and has a lot of stuffs to see.
However, this visit changed my mind… How? Why? What?

Come on, let’s go in…

Penang International Sports Arena (PISA), Penang
There are a lot of stores and people in this PC Fair. More and more people are coming… The crowd is smaller at Friday as many of us are still working that day. The waves of people are getting more and more at Saturday and Sunday. Especially on Sunday evening when the PC Fair is going to finish. Most of us will wait the shop owners to lower their product price on that time. The price will drop like crazy.

What I do over there? I did not have anything in mind to see except Canon EOS 450D SLR camera. After wondering the whole PC Fair, I was disappointed as I could not find any Canon SLR camera there. I saw Nikon, Olympus and Sony SLR camera but not from Canon. Come on, Canon… As your supporter, I am ashamed. Besides looking for SLR camera, I also looking for pretty girls. Too bad that I did not manage to get much shots.

Another bunny.

Can I have your phone no? Forgot to get it that day…

Perfect World anyone?

Most of the promoters and sales are still students that studying at college or university. Their daily salary is ranging from RM60 to RM150. Some with commission and some don’t. Luckily, not all the customers are like me. Why? I seldom buy stuff from PC Fair as I can get lower price than PC Fair usually. I have my own personal PC supplier. And I will find online for better price too. EBay, Amazon, B&H provide a lot of cheap stuffs.

NEC company sales for RM1999?

Dell… My previous laptop…

Canon EOS 450D SLR body for RM2999

Broadband… Broadband…

Close your ears

I could not stand the loud sound.
Finally, I found what I want to see - Garmin nüvi 200W GPS. Wow… It is priced at RM1399 with 1 GB SD card. That is very expensive. US is selling for around USD220-250 (RM715-813) with shipping. Luckily, I managed to get one of my colleagues to buy for me.

Lastly, I found another stuff that stops my steps. Apple MacBook Air - the world thinnest notebook. I love it very much. But… Ahem… I need to sell my whole SLR camera kits in order to buy it. RM6299 to RM11,000 for a notebook? He… He… I will pass it.

Intel spent a lot of advertising at this PIKOM PC Fair at PISA, Penang. You can see a lot of people getting Intel bag and Intel has a SMS free gift too. Intel should spend less marketing spending and pay more salary to its employee like me.
Everyone should know Intel already. Why pay more?

8OK, great news that Garmin is working in Malaysia. I’ve had friends that bought a GPS in the US only to not have it work back here. But I’m sure it wasn’t Garmin. Maybe I’ll borrow his to see if I can load local maps in to it.
My girlfriend is going to the US, maybe I’ll ask her to fetch one back.

10A friend of mine just recently got a 450D. It’s really nice.. Almost tempted to upgrade my 400D to it. But after reviewing it, it’s not worth it
Oh well. It’s all good!
