I got this from a friend. It is a good tip to keep us safe. Read it, it might help you someday in the future.
Put your car keys beside your bed at night…
Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents your Dr office, the check-out girl at the market, everyone you meet. Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It’s a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won’t stick around…
After a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won’t want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there ….
This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.
P.S.
I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can’t reach a phone. A lady has suggested to her husband that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn’t hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she’ll know there’s a problem.
Please pass this on even IF you’ve read it before. It’s a reminder.
dude, I could not do it… My car is 23 rd floor below my house… :p
Haha… I think this apply to landed property only.
this method really awesome, I never consider this before…
next time go any place which is very quiet, have to part the car behind there… easy for ready alarm…
I guess I need to install an alarm in my bike… hehe
Thanks for sharing this information, it really useful.
p/s: thanks for visiting my blog.
wow that’s pretty cool, I think i probably need this, cuz I am always panicking, but anyway sis thanks for sharing, I will tell my hubby to check this out.
Cool!..i never think of that..
I only put hammers, scissors, saw, knife, and a philips screwdrivers beside my bed when i sleep…
will add on a car key from now on..
@Calvyn: Woo… Alarm every.
@Kikey: You are welcome.
@Jhoice: No problem.
@KK: Haha… You have lot of stuffs with you all the time?
I sure had not heard of this before, and it makes quite a bit of sense for those who have a car close enough to where they sleep for the remote alarm to work. It could be thought of as an assisted call for help. On a side note, car alarms seem to go off often enough to cause people to ignore them at times.
Yaya… People used to ignore car alarms. Me too.
only applies if your key is strong enough to send the freq to the car first. else useless also, especially through the walls etc, usually won’t go through, and u being all panic mode, u’ll mess up and panic even more when ur car alarm doesn’t ring.
Yup. Need to test it first before. Else will be panic in real time. But better don’t need to use it.
better be safe than sorry…duplicate 100 of ur car keys and put it everywhere within ur reach…beside bed,below bed,in the toilet,in the kitchen,on top tv,beside tv,in the vase,inside aquarium,under the chair,inside microwave,inside washine machine etc…simply grab also can get even in panic..
Where is your house, KK? I want to go there and ‘drive’ your car. Should be easy to find your car key, right? It’s every where.
