Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 only have 1.5+ Months Battery Life. Yup. This is correct. The battery can last for 1.5+ months on this Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 that I have. I started using Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 on July. I changed 3 batteries already. And I am using the 4th battery right now. Come on. The specification from Microsoft mentions that it can last for 6+ months. Quote from Microsoft ~ “6+ Months Battery Life = Work with less interruption with longer battery life.” I wonder how many hour usage per day does Microsoft set for this specification. For your information, I use this mouse for around 10 hours daily.

Oh no, red alert!!!
Luckily, this Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 has Battery Life Indicator which glows red when the battery is running low. But I am seeing this red alert so soon. Hmm… This should be my last Microsoft mouse. Why? See my previous post ~ Help! My Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 does not perform well. Microsoft laser sensor technology is not good. It cannot work on white surface.
Do think twice before getting a Microsoft mouse. You might end up like me.
Same here. Just bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 3500 with Bluetrack technology and the thing doesn’t work on white paper. Come on, white paper?! All my other optical mice work on that.
Hmm… My Microsoft Explorer Mouse which is using Bluetrack too does not have while paper issue. Maybe you should call Microsoft Support to check it out.
I just submitted a support ticket to microsoft. Lets see what they say.
Hi,
I have a TRUST Laser Mouse MI-6950R (desktop mouse with cord) and it works well on white paper. I even play FPS games like that !
