well, if RM 400- 500 is not a substantial amout then by all means get the best…kinda like me choosing a 4870 over a 4890…RM2k for a gpu is a lil insane tho…haha

The GPU can be bought for around RM800…great price for the performance…not to mention the nice aesthetics, looks much better than the reference cooler model..the next reasoanble level up would be the nvidia’s GTX285 wich is way costly…runs COD 5, Bioshock an burnout at maxed out settings fine.

@Zephy: By the time I bought this card, GeForce GTX 260 is expensive than 4870 and performance is lower than it. Not sure the pricing for these cards now. Maybe Nvidia lower the price to fight on ATI.

but spec to spec wise benchmarking shows nvidia over the top (most NOT all). but power consumption wise during peak performance ok, ati wins hands down

The Sapphire HD 4870 512MB(normal edition) or the Sapphire HD 4870 Silent Efficiency 512MB? They are both at the same price…

@Wing Loon: Good display card is expensive. You can try ATI HD 4850 512MB. This is the best performance/value card.

…wow RM 570 is a bomb to me, unfortunately my Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2650 XT is koyak, going to get a new card soon
