My IBM ThinkPad T42 has been with me for more than 4 years. I changed its main board, hard drive, CPU fan during these years. It is still okay for normal daily office use. But cannot use it to play 3D games at all. The display adaptor ~ ATI Radeon 7500 mobile edition cannot play most of the 3D games nowadays.

Lenovo ThinkPad T400
Will my new Lenovo ThinkPad T400 able to play 3D games? Nope. It cannot perform well in 3D games too. Why? Because it is using Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. None of the Intel GPU can play 3D games well. Not until Intel future GPU ~ Larrabee. Hopefully, this ‘bee’ can beat ATI and Nvidia future 3D card. Hehe…
Luckily, I have my dream gaming PC to play all the interesting 3D games. Lenovo ThinkPad T400 will be used for office work only then. It will be able to do most of the tasks like programming, office works, web surfing…
Oh, I forgot to mention. This Lenovo ThinkPad T400 is provided by my company.
What is the notebook or desktop that your company provides?
Mine is HP Compaq 6910p. Competitor to Lenovo…hehe
@Ah Hong: 6910p is the old model that my company use. It is giving Lenove ThinkPad T400 and HP 6930p now. I prefer Lenovo over HP.
I used one Lenovo before. The result is awesome! Really geng
Larabee? I doubt it
@Bernie: I have no info about the Larrabee performance yet. But based on my pass experience with Intel graphics driver, I doubt it too.
Nvidia and ATI driver teams are better. Nvidia is the best so far.
I was planning to get a laptop after i change job, but my new company just give me a HP, so no need to buy ledi
@SEO Log: So nice. Which model is it?
I’m blogging with my company laptop as well. It is a Fujitsu with AMD and ATI Radeon graphic card. Is this a good laptop?

@Marco: Better than my current IBM ThinkPad T42 but slower than Lenovo ThinkPad T400. 3D Gaming is still the same ~ cannot play although better than Intel GMA.
