Hotel… Hotel… Hotel… Which Kuala Lumpur Hotel should I stay? My girl friend and I want to go to Kuala Lumpur next month. It had been quite some times that I did not visit Kuala Lumpur. When was my last trip to Kuala Lumpur? I don’t remember…
PWTC is one of the destinations that we want to go. And we like to shop around Kuala Lumpur too. Finding a suitable hotel for all the activities we want are hard for me which don’t know much about Kuala Lumpur. After doing research online and ask around all my friends, I think I got little bit clearer.
I found some info from Asia Web Direct (kl-hotels.com), TripAdvisor.com and AsiaRooms.com. All these websites are very helpful. They have all the rates and prices of most of the hotels in Kuala Lumpur. And provide valuable reviews from all the visitors too.
City Center Hotels
Bukit Bintang Hotels, KLCC Hotels, Chinatown Hotels, KL Sentral Hotels, Chow Kit Hotels, Golden Triangle Hotels
Outlying Areas Hotels
KLIA & Putrajaya Hotels, Mid Valley Hotels, Petaling Jaya Hotels, Klang Hotels, Rawang Hotels, Shah Alam Hotels, Mines Hotels
We want to shop at Bukit Bintang at evening when no where to go. So I started to look around hotels at Bukit Bintang. Woo… The hotel rates are not cheap. Most of them are above RM200 for 3 stars hotel and RM300 above for 4 stars hotel. At Bukit Bintang, there are Alpha Genesis Hotel, Berjaya KL Plaza Suites, Berjaya Times Square Hotel And Convention Center, Bintang Warisan Hotel, Corona Inn Kuala Lumpur, Coronade Hotel, Dorsett Regency Hotel – Kuala Lumpur, Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Capitol, Hotel Istana, Hotel Nova, JW Marriott Hotel, Melia Kuala Lumpur, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur, Piccolo Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Radius International Hotel, Sarang Galloway Vacation Home, Sungei Wang Hotel, Swiss Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur, The Federal Kuala Lumpur, The Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur, The Royale Bintang Hotel and The Westin Kuala Lumpur.
By staying at Bukit Bintang hotel, shopping is not a problem. We can reach the shopping mall by walking. Yeah… But looking at the price, again and again. Hard to decide which one to stay. Cheap one doesn’t have good review while good one is way too expensive. What should I do?
Looking at my company preferred hotel lists. Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur, Park Royal, Crowne Plaza Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur. With corporate rate, I should be paying lesser than normal rate. However, all the hotel rates still expensive. I don’t have membership on these hotels. No more freebie or discount. Wait… After checking one by one, I discovered that Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. Yes! I have Shangri-La Golden Circle membership ~ Executive level. I can get some freebie already. By the way, in order to get Golden Circle Executive level, you need to stay more than 20 nights per year.
By the way, one of my colleague got Elite level (60 nights per year
) Woo, normal vacation cannot reach that level. Only business trips can achieve it.
So is Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur the one that we will stay? Hmm… Don’t know yet. It is located at KLCC. Need to walk quite awhile to Bukit Bintang. How? Which hotel should I stay in Kuala Lumpur?

Hehehe…I still think Cititel Midvalley not a bad choice. Quite convenient as it’s near KTM station for your transit to KL Central
Wow.. I am jealous… Keep posting some of the snaps from Kuala Lumpur. Hope to visit some day in future…
Last time when I travelled to KL, I had stayed at Corus Hotel and The Zon hotel – both are near to Twin Tower. The service was quite nice but the price I’m not too sure…You might need to check online. By the way, my colleague said that Impiana hotel was a good one. May be you can try too. Enjoy the trip.
Hi Jayce, Greetings from the Traders Hotel. Your great research has led U to the best value in KL
. Would be pleased to make your arrangements. Just e:mail me on ed.brea@shangri-la.com , and i’ll make your arrangements personaly (with an upgrade too!). Best regards, Ed Brea, GM Traders Hotel…
@Ed Brea: Hi Hi… Based on reservation department and Theresa Goh, no more Deluxe City View room (double) during 6-9 August (3 nights). Anything you can do to help?
Me and me boyfriend come back in June from 1 week in KL and 1 week in Thailand. We stayed in Maya Hotel in KL and we loved, because it’s near from everything, there is Suria KLCC a big, big mall in Petronas and to go to Bukit Bitang you can always get a taxi(they are so cheap)!
I would advise you to stay in Maya Hotel or the Traders that is also in the same area.
Have a nice journey and enjoy!
