Oh no… This is not good. The pink colour camera issue is every where even with Malaysia latest HTC HD2 units (ROM : 1.48.707.2 (71294) WWE). However, most of new owners are very happy with their HTC HD2. 
By the way, just in case that you did not get the latest update. HTC support mentioned that the camera issue is caused by software, not hardware. A hotfix is in progress to solve this issue. But when is the question. Should I get my HTC HD2 now? Or wait until this camera issue is solved?
That’s a pretty serious error and lucky it was a software error, still have a chance to fix it. U bought HTC already?
HTC support changed their mind from hardware issue to software issue. It is not cheap to recall all the faulty units. Almost all the HTC HD2 cameras have issue.
My unit still on the ship coming to Malaysia. Got better offer but arrive late. Else I should get mine today.
Yes, I am having this pink camera problem as well. Some magazines call it the Pink Aura. Search the internet, and you’ll find more information.
It is very disappointing. A camera should not have a defect like this. It is not a minor issue, as you pay for a camera, and you expect it to work well. You don’t need it to be of SLR camera quality, but you also don’t want this horrible pink circle in the centre of every photo.
I would not recommend the HTC HD2. Not only because of the camera, but because of problems with the Windows Mobile interface, which is not suited to the capacitive touch display of the HD2 (even though they say it works well, it doesn’t).
