Hey Jayce,

Thanks for all the help with crash fixes, but unfortunately I have tried every solution and still no fix. I get about 30 seconds into playing the game and it crashes to the desktop. I’m extremely frustrated, any other ideas that may work?

I’m running a brand new Alienware system with Windows 7, and I’m completely stumped. I’m out of ideas on how to get this frickin game to run. Any other ideas?

The second solution worked perfectly and I did not had to sacrifice graphics or anything else. The second solution was my solution to the problem.

there is no need to install fah program it is some crap people put in it not sure of reason either to do damage to uour pc or legit but is says it is a program for helping scientist out blah blah blah as i say it is my pc not theres good luck

seems patches work as is a little confusion of exacly to do in install though the program is running good seems but running system settings at high i have i7 chipset and needs to run at 100 on my cpu think not why is it doing that seems as it is the last file to install doing the cpu at 100 and how to shut it down after game play would be great as i went into my task manager and started manually ending proccess fah program i think it goes by how many cores you pc has mine 8 so there was 16 instances of it i turned them off starting with the first one please nice to know how to end this the proper way after game play thanks all the info

The first thing to do is to make sure that your video drivers up to date. Start Windows Update and see if there are any optional updates for your video card.

If all else fail, install all the updates from hohesC. 2.0.0.2 update 2.0.0.3 udpate, 2.0.0.4 update.

Crash while loading for me until i installed 2.0.0.4

I haven’t tired 2.0.0.5, 2.0.0.6 or 2.0.0.7 since 2.0.0.4 works perfect

3RD: ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVE…
4TH: DELETE YOUR L4D2 AND RE-INSTALL IT
