Set ‘WCDMA only’ with Android Network Application by Philipp Mangelow

I don’t have a strong 3G signal at my place. And it used to turn to 2G EDGE when 3G signal is weak. Data connection is broken then and slow with EDGE connection. Network application by Philipp Mangelow manages to help to set ‘WCDMA only’ on certain Android ROMs with EVO kernel where I cannot set ‘WCDMA only’ in connection settings.
Network by Philipp Mangelow
Network a shortcut to the RadioInfo from com.android.settings. By default, connection is set to ‘WCDMA preferred’. You can change to ‘GSM only’ and ‘WCDMA only’ too. By the way, you might need to use MarketEnabler if you cannot find it at your Android Market.
Search for ‘Network Philipp Mangelow’ at Android Market to download.

I have searched for App to set 3G only network mode(provided in default settings in SONY’s Xperia Android Phones) in my SAMSUNG GALAXY MINI S5570(pop in India).
Network application by Philipp Mangelow is Not Supported for my device.
Please Please Help me..
I have also tried the code *#*#4636#*#*. It lets me to select the Network mode to WCDMA only.. But i cant save.. When i came out.. It switches to 2G like normal.

This is similiar to the code *#*#4636#*#*. But Problem is in OS version i thik so.. Bec i tried this in Android 2.2.. That not works.
But i have manually upgraded my OS to 2.3.4.. Then i tried it works well… Thanks..

hey jayce i’d like to know if you can help me. i just got xperia arc s and t-mobile told me they could upgrate it till it can reach 3g i use E( EDGE) could you help me to push it till 3 g please
