Yeah… DFT team released HSPL4 for all of us finally. Good news for those using latest official HTC HD2 ROM v3.14 because it supports SPL 3.03.0000. Note – SPL-3.03.HSPL only supports Windows Mobile 6.5. You still need to use SPL-2.08.HSPL to use NAND Android and Windows Phone 7. Make sure that you select the correct Hard SPL for your ROM installation.
HSPL4 includes SPL-2.08.0000, SPL-2.08.HSPL, SPL-3.03.0000 and SPL-3.03.HSPL. And 3.03 SPL supports LEO1024.
To install any SPL above, you must have one of the SPL version from this list below on your device:
- SPL-1.42.0000
- SPL-1.62.0000
- SPL-1.66.0000
- SPL-2.07.0000
- SPL-2.08.0000
- SPL-2.10.0000
- SPL-3.03.0000

it fails at step 12 when i’m running the DFT pkg
and it does say “USB” when the “red green blue screen” shows up to display the current SPL..

hey jayce.. what is the difference between hspl3 and 4?? and to install magldr, you need 2.08.hspl right? and not the others?
HSPL4 supports SPL-3.03.0000 while HSPL3 does not. Yes, we need SPL-2.08.HSPL to install MAGLDR.
So that mean If I have HSPL3 installed with 2.08.hspl, I can install Magldr, right?

1) installed ROM-3.14.720.3 ON hd2
2) then Radio Leo 2.15.50.14
3) also flashed HardSPL3 on HTC HD2?
3) when i run phone in boot loader i can see SPL-2.08
4) opened phone in bootloader and tried to run -HSPL4.exe
4) but after a minute, i see this error:
CRITICAL ERROR Flow: 00000001 Error code: 00000002 Description: USB Connect failed!

I recently installed HSPL and I think it is HSPL3. When I start the phone with the volume down button and enter the 4-colored screen it says SPL-3.03.HSPL, is that the HSPL3 or HSPL4?
HSPL4 supports SPL-3.03.0000 and SPL-3.03.HSPL. HSPL3 doesn’t. Yours is HSPL4.

I did not try mccmboxmax before. But as far as I know, Android needs SPL-2.08.HSPL. You might want to install it.

My HD2 is stuck on white screen, I’ve tried to flash back to stock rom and but it will say loading forever. The other two roms i’ve tried say “radio v2 fail”. I read some where to hspl 2.08, but when running hspl 4 and putting phone in bootloader and connecting to usb it seems to take forever while installing hspl, like over an hour. is that normal? any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick reply. I meet all the prereqs, although since my phone has the white screen I don’t think it can establish a connection with Active Sync, but I manually go to bootload screen and it seems to establish a connection via usb to pc. would that still work?

Hey Jayce, I have a XP Host, Active Sync, Win Mob 6.5, the newest Radio 2.15.50.14 and SPL 3.03. Now I started HSPL4 and choose HSPL 3.03. Everything went fine including the Success mess. but when I look into the 4 color Screen it still says SPL-3.03.000 XE.
Does that mean it did not work?
Now I’m totally puzzled as I was expecting SPL-3.03.HSPL.
Or do I have to take the HSPL 2.08?
My HD2 shall run an Adroid or WP7 from SD via MAGLDR. WinMo 6.5 shall not be touched so far.
Do I have to downgrade before I proceed?

Windows Phone 7.8 does not install through tri colour bootloader. It needs MAGLDR. Are you facing issue to install this HSPL?

I am trying to update Samsung galaxy tab 2 (p5100) from ICS to JB but it won’t be seen by ODIN from recovery mode. If the tablet is ON then Odin can see the tablet. can i still flash it from the ON state. i tried odin v1.85 and odin v3.07.
Hi Kwekwetli, you need to boot into Odin Download mode. Not recovery.

Try this… Power off first. Then press and holding both Volume Down and Power buttons. Odin download mode should be loaded then.
