  1. Hi Jayce,

      • Hi Jayce,
Yes, this is my first one. I have deleted all the data in the SD card. I have only the initrd and ZImage and then the zip folder for this 2.6 Gingerbread. So how to clear the cache?

  2. Hi Jaycee,
this is my first time installing a NAND Android Zip Rom using clockwork recovery i think i installed everything right but my HTC keeps rebooting and rebooting….rebooting….i dont know what i did wrong did i miss a step or something i did follow the video that you posted.

hope you can help me out..

      • I finally made it to work Jaycee i dont know what i did but persistent reinstalling and installing paid off…i was hoping to install the ultimate droid but it seems that im stuck with the android picture..i waited for an hour but nothing happens…how long did you take yours to load..just wandering…

  3. Hi Jaycee,

Could you please help me. I succeed before installing the IMUI by following the video and instructions one by one. When i saw this new post (NexusHD2-Gingerbread v2.6 NAND Android Zip ROM for HTC HD2), i followed my instinct to install it by removing JawsNandRec1.1.zip to SD card root level and added the new Nexus zipped. Then using ClockworkMod Recovery, i loaded them. Now im stuck with HTC logo and power stay on. What i have to do?

  4. Ok. I think, i tried it also. I formatted my sd card then start it all over again from How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery on HTC HD2 and follows by How to Install NAND Android on HTC HD2 with ClockworkMod Recovery.

Is there a chance that my download zip (Download NexusHD2-Gingerbread v2.6 [Kernel: Tytung r9 oldcam] NAND ROM here.) are not complete or have a problem?

    • The installation guide does not include the way to delete data and cache on ClockworkMod Recovery. Do take note on that.

Yes, corrupted zip file will cause the installation to fail too. Try to extract the zip file to PC see. If can be extracted, then your downloaded zip file is okay. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi Expert,
how can i set auto install application to sd card?

As we know, hd2 only have 512MB.. so when we install application it will store to phone storage which is make the phone have a lagging…

I’ve download App2sd and yes this application can move some application to sd card, but not all application can moved..

Any other way? Please assists and share with us.. thanks in advance.

    • Hmm… So far all programs that I have are stored at SD card through A2SD+. Which application cannot move to SD card? Maybe you can try to move it manually in Applications Settings.

        • Are both of the apps come along with the Android ROM? Note – system applications will be installed at internal storage and cannot move to SD card.

I just installed Whatsapp on UltimateDroid 3.3 with A2SD+ support. The application managed to install at EXT3 partition on SD card.

  6. Jayce,I hv installed but face 3 issues,
    1. internal storage not enough, have tried to move to SD by using apps, but this will only move some into SD,not all.
    2.battery consumption, how to improve?
    3. Is the home page limited to 5 pages only?

    Tis.

    • 1. Install A2SD+.
      2. Huh? This build battery life is good. It can last for 2 days on low usage. Note – 3G eats lot of battery.
      3. Hmm… You should be able to add more.

      • 1. I can’t find A2SD+ in android market so i install “App 2 SD Free”. I saw there is forum to partition ext2 to extend the internal storage where apps can install in SD card.
        2. Battery performance improve after i control the display brightness and 3G sync interval.
        3. how to add more page?

        • 1. Get it from XDA website (link in the post)
          3. My mistake. I thought it is using ADW Launcher which can add more pages. Nexus One only have 5 pages.

  7. Having problem with bluetooth since i load Gingerbread 2.3. My phone is HTC HD2 run gingerbread 2.3 on NAND. Phone pair and connect to my car’s bluetooth ok but when i try to place a call, it would not get connect with the other end or force close the phone or hang the phone completely (have to remove the battery to restart it). I have wipe and re flash the ROM 4 times already. Before this ROM, i was using Froyo 2.1 & 2.2 running on SD card and this not have any issue with bluetooth. Grateful for any suggestion on fixing this problem.

    • There are lot of Gingerbread ROM for HTC HD2. Which one are you using now?
Or you can try out this one. It is using the latest kernel which has better Bluetooth device compatibility.

          • have the same problem with typhoon 3.6.1 (has not fixed for long time) when i use bluetooth everything messed up. i have to remove battery to fix it (even the hardware buttons are not working) i have the last radio 2.15 and i already did clean setup (with task 29) i already removed dsp manager and this fixed things a little, but not 100%, still have problems.

  8. ops jaice ok so i will install this new nexus and see if it work… well just tell me what i do first with my old stuff in the sd card and my old nexus is installed, well what do i do? what step i should follow before see the video and do what it is showing ?

  9. ROM working very nicely – BUT GPS won’t work. Is there a fix for this or will it be fixed in a future update – or is it just me!
Secondly is there a thread I can get to follow further updates to this ROM?

  10. Hi Jayce – first of all, this is great stuff you’re doing. It’s been of great help to me, and also the rest of the noobs who’re now flashing their HD2 with kick ass ROMs! ๐Ÿ™‚ Many thanks.

Now questions: Am using the HD2 Gingerbread 2.3.2 ROM that you had posted below a video in an older post. Where you claimed FB, Wifi tethering etc. and camcorder has issues. I loved that ROM (my 1st NAND after wiping Windows. MUCH better than running Froyo from SD card) and have many apps on it. I believe this Nexus S 2.3.3 ROM will let me use the Wifi Router function on the HD2, is that correct?

If so, can I flash this ROM and retail all my apps and data?

Lastly, on Froyo (with Sense) from SD Card, I had many numbers on contacts, with many contacts linked. I assumed it was all saved to Google, but i didnt get those links and multiple numbers back correctly from Google. Is that only a HTC Sense feature? Can’t do the same with normal stock Android ROMs without sense?

    Many thanks again! Cheers
    Ankur

    • Hi Ankur, thanks for your support. ๐Ÿ™‚

Most of the latest builds have WiFi router working. I forgot which one. Sorry…

Better backup all the apps and data with Titanium Backup. Then wipe all data and cache before install another new Android ROM. Then restore back. Some Android ROMs might not boot if you just upgrade on top of existing ROM.

HTC Sense build does not copy your contacts to Google account automatically. You need to copy them yourself (if not mistaken). As long as your have contacts in Google account. Normal stock Android ROM will get them when you sync.

      • Thanks for your prompt reply, Jayce.

Yes, I had instructed Sense to store contacts to / and grab from Google. But the ‘links’ across multiple contacts vanished without sense. Not a big deal though.

Question again — in short, the process to flash this existing NAND ROM was: Run Custom RUU, Update Radio, Install MAGLDR, install Clockwork Recovery, and then finally flash the ROM. I initially installed MIUI, and then just flashed the new regular Android ROM over that by just clearing the memory card but not formatting anything on the phone.

Which of all of the above steps will I need to re-perform in order to delete the cache and format the existing ROM from my phone?

Thanks in advance for your help.

        • No need to install Custom RUU, Update Radio, Install MAGLDR. Just install Clockwork Recovery, and then finally flash this ROM will do.

Changing between CWM Android ROM needs to clear data and cache. Normal NAND Android ROM no need.

  11. Hi Jayce:)
