How to backup and restore with ClockworkMod Recovery on HTC HD2?

ClockworkMod Recovery is the best gift to HTC HD2. It makes HTC HD2 runs like a native Android phone. Nandroid is one of the best features on it. You can make full backup and restore with it. How to backup and restore with ClockworkMod Recovery on HTC HD2?

Step by Step Guide

  1. Power on your phone and don’t let go power button.
  2. DFT MAGLDR Bootloader will be loaded.
  3. Go to AD Recovery (v1.3) or Boot AD SD (v1.2).
  4. ClockworkMod Recovery will be loaded.
  5. Go to backup and restore.
  6. Just select Backup to backup your data.
  7. And select Restore then pick the restore image (based on date) that you want to restore.
  8. That’s all.

ClockworkMod Recovery ~ Nandroid backup and restore function is just like Norton Ghost on PC. It makes a full system backup. And you will get everything (at the point you backup) when you restore back. Be sure to make a backup from time to time to avoid data loss or system crashes issue…

    Small problem here when trying to do a backup. On step 3, when i chose AD Recovery i get the No boot sources message, and for the Boot AD SD, i get the kernel open failed error.

    Any idea what could go wrong?
