VillainROM is very new to me that coming from HTC HD2. However, it should not be unfamiliar with most others because VillainROM is one of the most popular custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy S II. Therefore, I picked VillainROM as my first custom CWM firmware to try. What makes VillainROM special? Based on VillainROM v2.4.2, it is fully deodexed. So you can apply custom theme but stock browser will lag. Fully resigned, but with Samsung apps left using stock signatures. You still have the stock TouchWiz from Samsung. And rest assures that it is rooted and added with Busybox and Superuser. Ninphetamine kernel that supports BLN is included too.
VillainROM v2.4.2 is based on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (XXKG5). And using Ninphetamine 2.0.4 kernel. Try it out yourself and do visit XDA to find out more…

I flashed custom rom but not getting ‘H’ or’3G’ signal after rebooting. I will only get ‘E’ after 5 min of rebooting. Any idea how to fix? Thanks.
You can force 3G / H only in Settings – Wireless and network – Mobile networks – Network mode == WCDMA only.

But now i need to consult on your opinion regarding bootloop on galaxy s2 ics. I flash different firmware into my device and i just notice that my bootloop was gone. I want to fix this. Rightnow im using.

When i turn off my device it goes to turn off directly without confirmation of airplane mode, silent, or reboot etc. and i also notice that all my lock screen are not working. so i did is just download GO Locker so i could u lock my screen. i hope i could attach screen shot. i am checking some images but i could find any one to show what is missing. i hope you could help me on this. thanks jayce in advance.
Try to factory reset it. If still cannot solve, then it is firmware issue.

well think i should stick on what i have. besides the 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S II now. official Android 4.0.4 ICS Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S2 ~ XXLQ5 Firmware has a lot of problem and it can soft brick my device. I think XWLPD 4.0.3 has way a lot better.

i installed this soft and it’s all working fine, but i have a problem with the wireless on my phone. i tried other softwares to have wireless connection, but it won’t connect to my router (d-link DIR-600) and by some other routers(from friends) the phone is connecting to wireless. i want u to ask about this problem and how can i resolve this please!!is somethig about my router, or?
