I got my Amazon Kindle Fire last 2 weeks. And started to study Kindle Fire related stuffs like rooting, installing CM7 ROM… Not sure are there any Kindle Fire followers here. Anyway, here is a good news to all Kindle Fire users. New software update 6.2.1 is here. Based on the information from Internet, the scrolling is smoother, new features added like password protected Wi-Fi and the ability to remove recently used items from the home screen carousel. However, Kindle Fire software update 6.2.1 breaks the ability to root with SuperOneClick. So if your Kindle Fire is still on 6.2 or below. Turn off Wi-Fi NOW. And follow this guide to disable auto software update OTA on Kindle Fire if you wish to root Kindle Fire.
