Greeting all Samsung Mobile users,
Codeworkx, one of the developers behind CyanogenMod Project is asking all our help to sign this very petition to Samsung Mobile ~ Help third party development achieve full potential of purchased devices. To get needed source code from Samsung Mobile to get all hardware bits working on AOSP based ROM like CyanogenMod and MIUI.
Why this is important? Most of the mobile phone manufacturers will only support and update ROM (or firmware) for 1 to 2 years after the phone was released. And you won’t get any update or improvement after that. For example, Samsung Galaxy S will not get latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware officially. However, with 3rd party ROM developers’ help, all Samsung Galaxy S users can enjoy ICS.
But without all these source codes, custom ROM is not perfect. And will lack of some important features. So do support custom ROM developers and sign this petition. I signed mine. How about you?

Already 3,000+ signature on the petition:) With over 20 million devices sold (SGS2 alone), it shouldn’t take long till the required amount of signatures is obtained. As long as the community works together, spread the news through the social networks, we can only hope that the petition is good enough to get the attention of Samsung Mobile.
Oh yeah, nightlies for CM7 and CM9 are back!!
