I always wanted to unlock my HTC One X bootloader since day 1 I got it. There is lot of good custom ROM for HTC One X from XDA website now. Besides, lot of customization and tweaks to improve its speed and performance too. But I need to unlock HTC One X bootloader first in order to install these. And unlock HTC One X bootloader voids warranty based on several users who experienced it themselves. And this does not apply to only HTC One X but all other HTC smartphones as well.
Well, unlock HTC One X bootloader voids warranty is not 100% confirmed. Yes, some reported HTC still repair their smartphone for free even after unlocked bootloader. But HTC has the right to void your HTC One X warranty depend on the condition. So basically, you need to take the risk. The final decision is on HTC hand. As for One to One Exchange on HTC One X and HTC One V, this is surely void after unlock bootloader. Do take note on this.
Do you know why I don’t want to unlock my HTC One X bootloader? My HTC One X suffers hardware issue like screen flex and overheating. Not going to unlock HTC One X bootloader until these issues have been solved…
