Top best video player for Nexus 7

Which is the top best video player for Google Nexus 7? Nexus 7 is nice to be a portable video player due to its nice 7″ 1280×800 HD IPS screen. However, video player built in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean does not support all the video format like MKV, RM, WMV, RMVB, MOV… So a 3rd party video player is a must installed to make Nexus 7 a nice portable video player. Personally, I prefer MoboPlayer, DicePlayer and MX Player. All of them are available to download for free. Only MX Player is ad supported (DicePlayer is adfree now). Which one is the best video player for Nexus 7? Let’s find out…

DicePlayer on Nexus 7

MoboPlayer does not have the best software codecs. Some video formats are slow during playback. But it support full screen mode (without soft buttons at bottom). MX Player has the best software decoder. Video playback is smooth on MX Player but does not support MOV video format in hardware acceleration mode. DicePlayer supports most video codecs but has it limitation too – have both status bar and soft buttons visible in full screen mode. Not an issue while playing 16:9 video format but not so good on 4:3 video format. Looking forward for DicePlayer Developer to fix this minor issue.
