I was using the beta version which came out not so long ago and its working just fine. Seems like most, if not all, of the premium suite is already included in it. Any real reason that you can think of or suggest, for me to make the change from the beta version to this official version.

Yes. Official firmware does not delete existing apps and data. But better do a backup for just in case.

I want to update my galaxy s3 gt-I9300 to the 4.1.2 version. I’m going to wait for the official version being released for my country. The only problem is that i have completely removed some bloatware from my Phone and from what I understand I cant update my software because of this. I am rooted with cf 6.4. How do I update my phone to the newest version? Will I have to flash a new stock rom via Odin and then update via Kies or OTA or can I just install it right away via Kies? I cant however update via OTA by now. Says something about my device being changed. Maybe because of the removing and freezing of bloatware?

Did you remove or disable bloatware?
Use Odin to install latest firmware directly. Rooted device can’t use OTA, need to use Samsung Kies to upgrade firmware.
I completely removed it. So what you’re saying is that I need to flash it via Odin, I cant update via Kies?
You need to use Samsung Kies since your device is rooted.

i used your link to do the official upgrade to my sgs3.
i now have 4.1.2 running BUT
when i plug in the headphones i get the message “unfortunately, Touchwiz home as stopped working”.
the phone runs super slow and moves from screen to screen randomly and on its own. when i unplug the earphones everything returns to normal within 15 sec.
can you help me with this ??

Hey Jayce what’s up! This will unroot my S3 right? Can I use the same steps in rooting 4.1.2? I use CF root for ICS and JB last time. What method did you use? CF Auto Root? I kinda afraid after I read some users brick their device. =P
Yes. Personally, I did not try this firmware. I am using custom ROM based on it. CF-Auto-Root should work fine.
