Samsung Galaxy S4 Recovery Mode

Samsung Galaxy S4 has the simple recovery mode just like its brothers and sisters ~ Android system recovery <3e>. It can perform several essential tasks like reboot system now, apply update from ADB & external storage, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and apply update from cache. Definitely not a match for ClockworkMod recovery – CWM or Team Win Recovery Project – TWRP which provide lot of features like Nandroid backup, install custom kernel, ROM and other more. But it is your saver if you installed Samsung Galaxy S4 Retail Mode (you know what I mean if you installed it).

How to load Galaxy S4 Recovery Mode?

  1. Power off Galaxy S4.
  2. Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power buttons at the same time.
  3. Release all buttons when you see Galaxy S4 Logo.
  4. Finally, Android system recovery will be loaded.

Err… Samsung should increase the text size in this Android system recovery <3e>. Really hard to see on 1080p screen. Luckily, all the functions are still working.
