Malacca cendol is another food that you cannot miss on Malacca trip besides chicken rice ball. So what is the special of Malacca cendol? It is a sweet dessert of coconut milk, lurid green noodles and Malacca sugar, made from palm sap. It has Malacca sugar with it. Else it is the same in the rest of the Malaysia.

Restoran Ole Sayang is one of the famous Nyonya food restaurants in Malacca. It is located at Melaka Raya. This was the place recommended by Ellen’s friend. She took us there to try out this Peranakan Food. If not mistaken, we ordered Nyonya special recipe chicken (Pongtay Chicken), fried kangkung and a tofu soup. Anyway, I just know to eat.

We did not manage to finish visiting Stadthuys, Malacca. We were too hungry during middle of Stadthuys visit. Therefore, we went to look for food first. We looked for several restaurants and end up at Yong Ann Birds’ Nests, Malacca. Woo… We must be rich to eat bird’s nest as lunch. Nope. The food over there is still okay in price.

Satay celup… Satay celup… Satay celup is a must eat food at Malacca. Satay celup is something like lok lok and steamboat with rich and spicy peanut sauce. The satay is assortment of raw and semi-cooked seafood like crabsticks, prawns, fishballs, meat and vegetables on skewers. And you need to dip (celup) satay into the boiling pot. After that… Yum… Yum… Get ready to taste and eat it.

Have you ever eat chicken rice ball before? I just have the chance to try Heng Hainanese Chicken Rice Ball during my Malacca trip. That was my first time trying chicken rice ball. It is just like chicken rice that you eat at your local but the rice is in ball shape in Malacca. I think they use different rice too.
