How to create EXT3 partition on SD card with ClockworkMod Recovery? (Video)

Most of the NAND Android ROMs for HTC HD2 support A2SD+ feature. A2SD+ helps to store applications and data at EXT3 partition on SD card. This is very useful for HTC HD2 which has only 512 MB of ROM. You will easily face out of internal disk storage issue if you don’t use A2SD+ supported Android ROM. EXT3 partition on SD card should solve low internal disk space issue.

Prerequisites

  • ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3

You can use any method that you know to create EXT3 partition on SD card like using GParted Live. However, create EXT3 partition with ClockworkMod Recovery is easier. Follow this guide to install if you don’ have CWM yet – How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3 on HTC HD2? (Video).

Note – CWM will format and delete everything on your SD card when creating EXT3 partition. Remember to do a backup of your SD card first.

Samsung Galaxy S II Browser Tips & Tricks

Browser is one of the most frequent used applications on my Samsung Galaxy S II. For those who want to use built in SGS2 browser, here are the must know tips and tricks for you.

Text Reflow
Samsung Galaxy S2 Browser does not enable text reflow by default. You need to enable it manually. To do so, go to Settings then enable ‘Auto-fit pages ~ Format Web pages to fit the screen’. However, this text reflow or the function of word wrapping text when zoom in only work when double tap.

How to undervolt Galaxy S4 GPU?

Play lot of 3D games with your Samsung Galaxy S4? Undervolt Galaxy S4 GPU will help to improve battery life a bit. And make it cooler too (not much of course). GT-I9500 PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU is powerful enough for most of the casual 3D Android games in the Play Store. GPU will auto scales to higher clock speed when more 3D processing power is needed. You can underclock GPU to save battery but that will decrease 3D performance as well. Impact gaming experience is not what we want here. So undervolting is another solution.

How to remove Onda V820w bloatware?

Onda V820w dual OS tablet PC comes with several bloatware on its Android platform. Luckily, Windows 10 does not have this issue. Anyway, it is possible to remove these pre-installed bloatware. But root access is required. No worry, you still can have them disable without root access. Basically, the end result is the same – inactive except these applications still take some disk space because they are not uninstalled. All Onda V820w bloatware can be installed and disabled without root access except Onda Launcher. If you really want to remove / disable it, please follow this guide to do so.

How to factory data reset Redmi 1S?

Factory data reset will bring your phone back to original stage (like newly bought). However, it does not work so well on my mom’s Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Yup, it does not delete certain applications that I installed and some user data still there. Not sure what went wrong? But I suspect that it is either v23 ROM or v36 OTA issue (Malaysia stock ROM is v23 and I updated to latest version v36 through OTA method). Anyway, that’s was the very first bug that I saw on Malaysia Redmi 1S. Luckily, I know how to do a clean installation. Else Xiaomi service center is the place that I am going to visit.
