Well, you can try it now because there is a leaked Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXDLG4 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S3. Personally, I did not try this leaked Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXDLG4 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S3 as it is a testing / beta version (I won’t call it official version). Not suitable for most normal users. But you can try it if you are brave enough. I really love the smoothness on Google Nexus 7 outcome from Project Butter. Looking forward to have it on Samsung Galaxy S3 too.

Odin3 is a PC application to help us update Samsung Android devices firmware. Odin3 v3.07 is the latest version. What is the new feature added? Nand Erase All and T Flash are the one that I found. What are they used for? Personally, I don’t know as I always leave them unchecked. Anyway, you can use Odin3 v3.07 to install stock, custom firmware, kernel, bootloader, modem and CSC just like other Odin3 versions. They are workable on current Samsung Android devices. And should be workable for future devices like Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3…

There are 2 famous custom recoveries out there ~ ClockworkMod and Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP). You won’t be wrong by using either one of them on your Google Nexus 4. It is totally up to personal taste and usage. TWRP has a fully touch driven user interface (which better than CWM in my opinion). And the GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able.

I love to play around with Samsung Galaxy Series Retail Mode. It turns your Galaxy devices into a retail display unit. Yes, good to show off your new device. Learn all the new features. I tried this retail mode on Galaxy S2, S3 and Note 2. So far so good. However, you need to be careful if want to try it on Galaxy S4. Why? You can’t simply uninstall Galaxy S4 Retail Mode from Applications manager. You need to factory reset in order to remove it. The worst part, the factory data reset function is grey out (can’t select it) in Backup and reset.
