      • vishnu

        he he he….ya like me i agree…
i have three questions my friend if u don mind

1-what is meant by sdk port version…is that u means its installed in sd card?
2-touch screen is working but limited …u mean they r not giving proper response?
3-what is alpha version…i know what is meant by beta version

        • 1. SDK = software development kit. Nope, install on NAND memory.
          2. Hehe… You try it to find out.
          3. Alpha comes before beta. It is the earliest version.

          • vishnu

1-thanks for the information jayce ..but serious i don understand how this sdk version related to hd2…i mean the old roms are of what version type and how is this different from sdk…

2-seems like this sarcastic smile as a deep double meaning?lol

3-then means this alpha is not stable right?

and one more question, this ICS 4 rom is the rom used in samsung galaxy nexus or this has been modified, ported to use in hd2?

            • 1. The generic version use by developer at PC.
              2. πŸ˜›
              3. Can say like that since almost nothing work now.

    Hi Jayce,

I had to send my HD2 to repair and they said that it’s no longer in warranty because a new OS as been installed and the cost of repair was 210€.

Do you have any idea what can be done in order to repair it? Maybe because i installed several ROMs the radio is “broken”. It just appears the white screen and nothing else. I tried to install the radio again but it doesn’t says “we’ve cracked it” at the end and then it stays in the white screen.

    Any idea?

  • thank you very much for the information Jayce. i’ll wait till the best version release for my HTC HD2

    Hi Jayce,

I have a HTC HD2 running GingerBread for a month now. Any reason why my touch screen Isn’t working anymore ? The phone still rings and the bottom 5 buttons still working, but the touch screen is frozen. What should I do ?

    • Suspect touchscreen hardware is faulty. You can try to restore back to Windows Mobile to double confirm.

  • Reggie

I just tried to restore back to Windows but It’s not recognizing the usb cable.

  • Reggie

Ok, I’m stuck at #4. I can’t get to the sd card bc it keeps saying my device isn’t connected to the usb cable

    • Use SD card reader to copy.

  • Reggie

What & where is SD card reader ?

    • Google it to find out.

  • Reggie

    Thx for your help Jayce

    Hi Jayce,

Yesterday I created a 250MB partition on my HD2 and installed ICS 4.0.1, it is running great! But the storage info shows:
    Total storage: 179MB
    Apps: 100MB
    Free: 55

My simple question is, what is happening with the rest storage (why I dont see it?) and how to use whole internal memory?

    • 250MB CWM partition layout is used by system. So you left 179MB.

  • alkurte

  • Star

Installed other roms other than 4.0 & my hd2 works well. Once installed 4.0 icecream & reboot, it hangs on “htc” and can’t boot up? Any idea?

    • Which ICS ROM did you install? And how much CWM layout size are you using now?
