The version that I tested was v1.10.28 (development). It is based on latest Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread. One thing to take note, the official MIUI ROM does have English language as selection. But you still can see Chinese characters in some applications. And it is in Chinese language right after you flashed it. So only install official version if you can read Chinese. Else wait for unofficial English version MIUI ROM from MIUI UK.

  1. I have installed the ROM, so far the data mode failed to work, but the wireless connection works fine. Do you have any experience on the failure of the data mode?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi,

I am in India. I have SGS2. This is my first android. I have read your posts here but I’m confused at the number of choices. At present it is on XWKF3 and baseband DDKE4.

Would you please suggest a ROM that has minimum bloatware? I will be using Email (Exchange), Facebook, Gmail, Wifi tethering, USB tethering on 3g/H+ network.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Jayce,

This ROM seems good (since it’s using android 2.3.7 and is by MIUI) but i feel like the Checkrom RevolutionHD ROM is a hard ROM to beat at the moment. Haha. And IMO, KitchenPro is awesome. However, one of the theme i used (Gingerbread special edition v2.2) forced close my alarm clock. So i restore back to the original theme. Using SiyahKernel v2.1 btw.

I think i might wait for a “stable” stable cyanogenmod ROM before moving on from this ROM.

  4. Hi Jayce, I been used miui .But now I had to switch to other rom ,b’cause Miui doesn’t support HDMI out put device .May I know did Miui improved this issue or not ๐Ÿ™‚
(I’m waiting for this, so that I can return to my flavored MIUI rom again)
Thz for reply & have a nice day.

  6. Hi Jayce,

When i install this rom and reboot, when reach main screen, it keep pop out a dialog box say that android a score is not responding… Is this a wipe out rom? I need to clear cache and user data to use it?

  7. Hi Jayce,

I’m using S2 2.3.3, after I did CF root and wipe all user data and partition then flash to MIUI 2.3.7. after that I can’t connect to KIEs cos all my backup are there.

Is there anyway to reconnect to KIEs? or did I miss any step if this happened?

I did tried reinstall and reflash MIUI, all not working.

    Thanks.

Merry X’mas and Happy New Year.

  8. Hi
A quick question i installed the latest miui official rom 2.1.6 from the miuiandroid.com website released a few days ago, previously i had cwm manager 2.0 installed on my previous rom and i would like this in miui, if i flash the same cf root as i did with the previous rom will it conflict with this miui? Im thinking if i flash it with mobile odin i will get cwm manager back but then im worried it will clash or something might go wrong or can anyone suggest how or what i can do so i can restore and make nandroid backups with miui.

Thanks in advance for your help
    Amit
