Build quality is decent no doubt as a HAVIT product. The ergonomic is good and can be used for both left and right hand (thumb buttons can’t be used on left-handed mode). Every buttons and scroll wheel are easily accessed. And there are LED lights everywhere – scroll wheel, logo, side and back lower part. By the way, the mouse surface has matte soft touch rubberized feel. At the bottom, you can find the optical sensor and 2 glide pads. Finally, the cable is braided with anti-interference magnet ring with gold plated plug. And have a detailed look on the shape of this wired gaming mouse with pictures below.

Performance Result
HAVIT HV-MS761 can be used directly on Windows PC without any driver installation. Just plug and play. Windows will install the correct driver for you. Without software, you can’t adjust DPI sensitivity to the one that you prefer. Have to stick to the default ones – 500-1000-1500-2000-3000-4000. Not a deal breaker if those settings match your taste. For me, I settle at 1500 DPI. Do take note…

HAVIT HV-MS761 optical sensor performance is great. Works on multiple surfaces including slightly shinny and reflective ones. The optical sensor is located at almost center (slight below) of the mouse. No new learning curve here and that’s good. Ergonomic is perfectly well and fits my hand. And the matte mouse surface gives you the smooth and nice feel too. Besides, mouse pointer movement is fast and accurate. And buttons are responsive and feedback is good too. The scroll wheel on the other hand is not performing so well due to the surface too smooth. Not much grip when scrolling. Good for web browsing but not recommend for gaming here.

Advantages

  • Great optical performance
  • Good ergonomic for comfortable grip
  • Support both hands
  • Decent build quality
  • Stylish design

Limitations

  • Scroll wheel surface too smooth
  • Single DPI button
  • No software driver

Conclusion
HAVIT HV-MS761 is a solid budget mouse no doubt. However, due to smooth scroll wheel surface. It is not recommended for gaming. Daily usage like Internet browsing is working great though. More information can be found at HAVIT Website. And you can buy it at Amazon.
