Hi! There is no developer menu on my Nexus7. How is it possible..? I am depressed about this, really.. :( Not to mention I couldn’t able to update it to A4.2…

    • Lifo

I have the same problem and haven’t been able to find anything on the web that explains why. And my Nexus7 is running 4.2.

      • Mehrtellica

Go to about tablet and tap the build number 7 times, this will give you developer options

Which Android version are you on now?

  • gme

i appalled that google has updated it to 4.2! I brought it with version 4.1… or I’m out of mind..?
But still, there is no developer option..

From the latest update, there is the multiple starting screen..

one thing, there WAS developer options before I clearly remember, and my antivirus software reminded me that anti debuggig mode is a threat, but it has no reason now to say that

  • Kellen

Doesn’t work for me. I tapped 7 times, got the “You are now a developer” message but the developer options menu item doesn’t appear under settings…

Hmm… Try factory reset if you can.

          • Kellen

I can’t factory reset, but I cleared settings data which seemed to disable developer options. Tapped 7 times again, nothing.
            Thanks for your help though.
