How to overclock Nexus 7?

Overclocking is the easiest way to improve overall performance on Google Nexus 7. NVIDIA Tegra 3 Super 4-PLUS-1 Quad Core CPU is clocked at 1.3 GHz by default on Nexus 7. However, you still can push its limit and improve overall Nexus 7 performance by overclock up to 1.7 GHz. Official Nexus 7 kernel does not support overclock feature. So you need to install custom kernel for Nexus 7 in order to overclock.

Note – overclock will reduce NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU, GeForce GPU and other hardware components lifespan because it will overheat easily. Do it at your own risk.

New HTC One X system update 1.29.707.11 OTA for Asia

Finally, HTC One X gets 1.29 system update OTA in Asia region now. Thanks Zul and Sunny for the tips. HTC One X users in Asia with HTC One X Software number 1.26.707.2 and 1.28.707.10 should receive system update notification anytime soon. Several Singapore and Malaysia HTC One X users confirmed and upgraded to 1.29.707.11 system update through OTA. Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines HTC One X users should get it too soon. What are the new improvements and bugs fix? Well, the HTC One X SD storage issue that I hated most seem to be solved already. But it still have 1033 MB being used as System data. Will monitor if it increases size or not. However, this 1.29.707.11 system update does not solve HTC One X Bluetooth connectivity issue. I am still facing songs skipping, get disconnected and signal loss issues.

If you own Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S3, you will probably know CF-Root which developed by XDA Developer, Chainfire. CF-Root is the best known method to root Samsung Galaxy series devices. Besides rooting, it also brings ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery and CWM Manager Application along. However, CF-Auto-Root for Samsung Galaxy Note II is not same as previous CF-Root because it does not have custom ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery and CWM Manager Application.
