Yeah, I received 2GB Philips GoGear Digital MP3 Player (Model SA1928) from JCMS ProRewards finally. It is a gift from Citibank Malaysia during AirAsia-Citibank credit card promotion. It took Citibank Malaysia more than 3 months to send 2GB Philips GoGear Digital MP3 Player (Model SA1928) to me. And I had to follow up myself for more than 5 times in order to get it. Else it will stay at JCMS ProRewards office until now. Anyway, thanks Citibank Malaysia for the 2GB Philips GoGear Digital MP3 Player. I got it finally after all these troubles.

Do you know that the limit of your liability for a lost or stolen credit card is RM250.00 only? I do not know until my friend forward an email about this. It is an article taken from Consumers Association of Penang. Why do I suddenly so take care about credit card? My fellow blogger friend TZ’s credit card number was being used by someone to purchase computer from Dell online. And the credit card bank is asking him to pay the amount ~ RM2,149. It is not a small amount.
This protection is given under Clause 13.2 of Bank Negara’s Credit Card Guideline (the Guideline)
The cardholder’s maximum liability for unauthorised transactions as a consequence of a lost or stolen credit card shall be confined to a limit specified by the issuer of credit cards, which shall not exceed RM250 provided the cardholder has not acted fraudulently or has not failed to inform the issuer of credit cards as soon as reasonably practicable after having found that his credit card is lost or stolen.
I have several credit cards. However, not all of them use online protection like Verify by VISA, or MasterCard SecureCode. Therefore, I only use those credit cards that have this online protection. For example, one of my credit card banks, HSBC will call me whenever I do an online transaction on website that does not support Verify by VISA especially the online transaction amount passes certain limit. I trust this kind of bank. However, some banks like Citibank do not have this kind of service. Therefore, we need to be careful on selecting credit card bank.
Do you have credit card? And do you use it to do online transaction?
Citibank Malaysia lets me down again. Yup. This is not the first time and I think it will not be the last time too. The story started like this…
A Citibank officer called to confirm with me which gift that I want when I signed up AirAsia-Citibank credit card. I selected free 2GB Philips MP3 Player (Model SA1928). After few days, I received a SMS from Citibank that I will receive free gift within 8 weeks after my AirAsia-Citibank credit card approval. However, I did not receive it yet after 8 weeks. Therefore, I wrote to Citibank to ask.
Here was Citibank Malaysia reply…

Yeah… Citibank has another promotion for its Shell Citibank Credit Card. Citibank offered HP Compaq Presario C700 series Notebook for its Shell Citibank Credit Card last time. And Citibank offers GPS Bay Car Navigating device (Model 3303) with RM399 now.
This GPS Bay Car Navigating device (Model 3303) offer will be valid from 1 August 2008 to 28 February 2009 and is only applicable to all new principal Shell Citibank credit card holders. Whoever did not manage to apply Shell Citibank Credit Card like me, you can apply for it now.
However, do you know what is the specification of this GPS Bay Car Navigating device (Model 3303) by GPS Bay Sdn. Bhd.? Can it outperform my newly bought Garmin nuvi 200W? For your info, both of them are selling for RM1299.
Will this GPS Bay Car Navigating device (Model 3303) specification better?
