Want to change CSC on your Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II? You still can use the old method ~ type *#272*Device IMEI# at Phone dial pad on older Samsung Galaxy S3 firmware. However, latest firmware (like XXELLA) disabled this shortcut. And this method totally won’t work on Samsung Galaxy Note 2. How to change CSC then? No worry, CSC Changer application comes to rescue. Thanks to XDA Developer, bassie1995. However, root access is required.

Note – Changing CSC will factory reset your phone. Everything will be deleted. Do backup before perform this task.

How to enable Samsung Galaxy Devices hidden features

Yes, you can enable Samsung Galaxy Devices hidden features by changing CSC feature.xml (or others.xml) file. However, this is not the best method to do so because you need to edit the file manually. And you might break something if not done correctly. Therefore, Note 2 Hidden Settings application comes to rescue. It is a GUI app that help to change those hidden settings easily. So far it is working on Galaxy Note 1 & 2 (Verizon & international) and Galaxy S4. Note – root access is required.

How to change CSC on Galaxy S4?

Want to change to other region Samsung Galaxy S4 firmware? Install it manually with Odin is not the only way. You can do so by changing CSC. But it is limited to your current firmware multi CSC packages only. Some Galaxy S4 firmware does not have multi CSC packages but only one. So you can’t change CSC at all. What is CSC? CSC has software packages specific to particular region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection, MMS for service provider. And it enables certain features on that region too (ex, HD voice). So by changing to that CSC, you can enjoy that features too.

You can only change CSC if your current Samsung Galaxy S III firmware has MultiCSC. But it is not true anymore with individual CSC packages for GT-I9300 and GT-I9305. Yes, no need to depend on CSC Changer and you can install CSC that you want with custom recovery like CWM or TWRP. As usual, CSC applies to Samsung Based ROM only and will not work on CM, AOSP or AOKP ROM. And only apply it if you know what you are doing…

Enable secret CSC features on Samsung Galaxy Devices

Samsung firmware for its Android devices is almost the same. And Samsung is using CSC codes to control features available on Android devices and countries. So by editing the CSC feature.xml (or others.xml), you can enable some disabled features. This secret CSC is working on latest Jelly Bean firmware for Samsung devices like Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2… Not all CSC codes are working on your Samsung devices but no harm to try them. Note – root access is required.
