Root Explorer is the best Android file manager to edit root files. I love to use it. However, it is not free and you have to pay to use it. So how to edit root file on Android the free way? Hehe… I found a free solution after searching for quite sometimes. Basically, File Expert + Jota Text Editor will give you the ability to edit root files. File Expert has root access to system folders and files like Root Explorer. But it does not have built-in text editor to modify files. So Jota Text Editor comes to help.

Google does not have native Android application for its Google Tasks. So I did not use it for quite sometimes until I found Taskos To Do List. It is a free, simple and intuitive to do list for android.

Cordy is a little robot with a big job. It is a free game for Android. It should be in top of the free games. But I can’t find it there. Anyway, you should download Cordy and try it out. The 3D graphics is nice. Too bad that my Android HTC HD2 can only run smoothly on simple graphics mode. Hmm… It’s time to get a better Android phone. Anyone want to send me a Samsung Galaxy S II? ;)

Yeah… There is another free backup utility for Android. It is called MyBackup Root, developed by RerWare. As the name applied, it works only on rooted phone. But that’s not a problem for Android HTC HD2 because most of the ROMs are rooted. And it is great for me who like to test different NAND Android ROMs.

I don’t have a strong 3G signal at my place. And it used to turn to 2G EDGE when 3G signal is weak. Data connection is broken then and slow with EDGE connection. Network application by Philipp Mangelow manages to help to set ‘WCDMA only’ on certain Android ROMs with EVO kernel where I cannot set ‘WCDMA only’ in connection settings.
