I love to enable 4x MSAA in most of the 3D games that I play. Anti-Aliasing will make the games graphics look great. And the good news is that you can enable 4x MSAA in OpenGL ES 2.0 Android applications and games for free now. No Chainfire3D Pro driver is needed. However, here is the catch ~ you need to have at least Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and GPU hardware that support MSAA. NVIDIA Tegra 3 GPU does not support MSAA, so no luck on Google Nexus 7. But all Android devices which loaded with ARM Mali-400 MP GPU support it. Therefore, devices like Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 support MSAA.

CyanogenMod ROM is my favourite Android ROM for HTC HD2. But I seldom use CM ROM since Samsung Galaxy S2 because CyanogenMod team does not have Samsung Exynos SoC source code. So you can’t enjoy all the features that can be found on Samsung own firmware. But what make me try CyanogenMod 10.1 Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3? Force 4x MSAA feature (Enable 4x MSAA in OpenGL ES 2.0 apps) in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the one. There is no Samsung firmware based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean yet. So install CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM on Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the way to test 4x MSAA feature (Google Nexus 7 with Tegra 3 does not support MSAA). Besides, you can also try out other Android 4.2 Jelly Bean features too…

Err… CyanogenMod ROM damaged my 64GB exFAT SanDisk microSDXC Card again when I tried it on Samsung Galaxy S3. CyanogenMod ROM like CM9 or CM10 does not support SD card in exFAT file format. It can’t detect SD card at all. And when you restore back to Samsung firmware, micro SD card will be prompted as “Damaged SD card ~ SD card is damaged. Try reformatting it.” No worry, there is an easy way to fix this issue and recover your SD card back with all files and data intact…

ClockworkMod Recovery Mode (CWM) is the must have tool for me. I did not update CWM on my Samsung Galaxy S III for quite some time. Been using CWM CF v1.3 (based on CWM 5.5.0.4) which comes along with CF-Root. Why bother to upgrade then? PhilZ Touch 3 ClockworkMod Recovery for Samsung Galaxy S3 is based on ClockworkMod 6.0.1.9. And has lot of features like exFAT support on external SD card, backup / restore EFS, time stamped kernel backup & flash kernel, flash modem image, adb root in recovery, Open Recovery Script (ORS) support, Aroma File Manager support…
