How to take screenshot on Android TV Box?

Taking screenshot on Android devices is super easy, right? Yes, for Android smartphone and tablet which have physical buttons and touchscreen. Just hold power and volume down buttons will do. However, it is not the case on Android TV Box. I can’t seem to find a way to capture screenshot on it. After searched Google for a while, I found out that there is a way to do so over WiFi with ADB. However, that’s not the simple and easy way. 3rd party applications do not help too. Luckily, I discovered a much easier and simpler way in the end. Do you know how?

Most Android TV box comes with USB port, right? Just grab your home’s USB keyboard and attach to it. Then press ‘Print Screen’ key to take the screenshot that you want. Yup, that’s it. Just like the above screenshot that I took from my WeTek Hub Android set-top box. As usual, those screenshots are stored at Pictures – Screenshots folder. You can start to share out step by step tutorial with pictures from your set-top box now.

  1. Very cool, thanks. You gave me a clue regarding the print screen function. It turns out the remote I use (iPazzPort) has that at Fn-F7.

    Thanks again!
