Download HyperDroid Android 2.3.5 NAND A2SD+ Zip ROM for HTC HD2

CyanogenMod 7 should be the best Android ROM for HTC HD2 (MIUI too). It is faster than HTC Sense builds. Besides, it is smaller in size too so you can have more internal storage disk space. HyperDroid v3 is based on CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC0 (Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread) and using seader_R5 Kernel. As usual, it has strange LCD density. It increased to 192 from 167 DPI on v3 which is better but might still be small for certain people like me. Personally, the smallest DPI that I can accept on HTC HD2 is 220…

Note – make sure that you change ro.sf.lcd_density=192 to 240 at build.prop (system folder) before you install the ROM if you want normal screen density.

  1. Hi Jayce

I am facing the problem while copying this ROM to my SD card. I used the Mass Storage option in the boot loader and tried to copy to SD card. After a while(30 %), it stops for a long time.

I downloaded the same file 3 times already and formatted the SD card also. Is there any problem with the above download link.

    • Hi Jayce,

I am getting the below error message: pls advice

      –Installing: /sdcard/HyperDroidCM7.zip
      Finding update package…
      opening update package…
      Installing update…
      Installation aborted.

                • Hi Jayce,

I changed the density setting from 192 to 240. To do that i extracted the folder, opened the prop file and changed the value from 192 to 240.
Then i zipped the whole thing and copied to the sd card. and tried to install from sd card. I am getting the error message:

                  –Installing: /sdcard/HyperDroidCM7.zip
                  Finding update package…
                  opening update package…
                  Installing update…
                  Installation aborted.

But when i copy just the downloaded zip file(192) as it is, it is installing.
Is there any problem in the extracting and zipping. i used both zip and 7 zip also.
I also tried to change the density value using the method you mentioned in the following link. I put the settings (read write and file permissions also). I opened the file with Jot text editor and then changed the value to 240. but when i tried to save, Jot text editor says couldn’t save the file……

so now i have mango and android on hd2 but every time i start mango i need to unlock card before i start android

    • If not mistaken, T-Mobile HD2 can use all international HTC HD2 ROM since it has larger 1GB ROM. But HTC HD2 can’t use T-Mobile HD2 ROM because of smaller 512MB ROM only.
Anyway, do consult ROM chef at XDA for confirmation. 😉

  8. Note – make sure that you change ro.sf.lcd_density=192 to 240 at build.prop (system folder) before you install the ROM if you want normal screen density. Change at phone ,or the zip file bro
