Package Content & Design
Everything is well packed. Once taken out the speaker system, there are 3.5mm AUX to RCA audio cable, user manual and IR remote control.

Excellent build quality for the price. The satellite speakers have sturdy plastic housing. They are loaded with 3″ driver and have 8W output power (RMS) each. So total power of 16W.

Here is the compact subwoofer with 4″ driver. It has 18W output power (RMS). Loaded with tough wooden cabinet. The speaker grills are covered with fabric and shiny X shape plastic in the middle. The control buttons, SD slot and USB port are located on the top.

At the back, there are master and bass volume control. No treble control this round. Bass reflex port is also located there. The same applies to external FM antenna.

Performance Result
Outstanding wireless range! It can reach up to 9m with obstacles like wall easily. Rock solid connectivity. And it has virtually no lag between video and audio. Playing games on mobile devices is good to go. The same applies to watching music videos, TV dramas and movies.

FM radio is working great thanks to the external antenna. Great for those who still using FM for music listening. MP3 player is available on both USB port and SD slot. Working great too.

34W total power (RMS) is good enough for blast in the large quiet room. Morro X5 Pro is considered a compact 2.1 speaker system. Therefore, it will perform the best when staying close to it. You can also enjoy much more impact of the bass as well.

Sound Quality
SonicGear Morro X5 Pro comes with bass volume control only this round. It is used to control the subwoofer basically. Thankfully, there are 6 preset EQ to select. It is available on MP3 and Bluetooth connection. Sadly, not available on AUX and FM radio. By the way, it can’t remember the last used audio source. Always start with AUX mode. Do take note.

It has V-shape sound signature. So both treble and bass are enhanced. And brings much more excitement too. In detail, highs are sharp and crisp. All the musical instruments can be heard clearly. Mids are getting the same treatment as well. The vocals are clear too. Lows are powerful for the subwoofer size. You can really feel the bass bumping here and there (when close to the subwoofer).

Advantages

  • Crisp treble with powerful bass
  • Outstanding Bluetooth range
  • FM radio & MP3 player
  • Excellent build quality
  • Remote control included

Limitations

  • Can’t remember last used audio source
  • No EQ on AUX & FM

Conclusion
SonicGear Morro X5 Pro is a budget yet performing 2.1 speaker system. Suitable for music, movies and gaming. Performing yet space saving. Interested? Get yours at Lazada or Shopee.
