Package Content & Design
Pure white is the current trend I believe. Anyway, SonicGear SPACE 3 comes in a well-protected condition. There are 3.5mm AUX audio cable and user manual on top of the speaker set.

Build quality is great thanks to tough MDF wooden cabinet on subwoofer. Plastic housing for both satellite speakers. By the way, there is a 3.5″ bass driver covered within fabric grill on subwoofer. And all the inputs and controls are located on the right. There are audio source mode button, bass volume and master volume control. No treble volume control that I wish.

The bass reflex port is located on the left. And 4 anti-skid pads at bottom to provide stability even on maximum bass volume output.

2 compact satellite speakers that easier to place than bulky wooden ones. Same fabric grill on front as well. Sturdy plastic housing by the way.

Performance Result
SonicGear SPACE 3 comes with 2 x 2″ 5W full range driver for satellite speakers. 10W from subwoofer. So make it total system power = 20W. That’s easily have more than power to blast within a room. Just don’t overload it until distortion kick in (and your housemate will start to complain too). It’s just a 20W speakers set after all.

Outstanding Bluetooth range!!! Surely, SonicGear SPACE 3 is one of the best in the wireless range test. Passed 10m straight sight line test with eyes closed. And manages to get connected up to 8m+ with obstacles like wall. No worry about getting disconnected while travelling between rooms. And it has almost no lag between video and audio. Great for movie, games and music no doubt. Definitely a plus for those who use Bluetooth daily as it boots up with Bluetooth mode by default (instead of AUX mode. Err… Can’t remember last used audio source).

Yeah… SonicGear SPACE 3 sounds great as a compact 2.1 speakers system. Even without treble volume control, it still manage to produce natural sound signature. That’s great. Bass surely bring some pumping here and there. But don’t expect it will be as fuller as much bigger size subwoofer. Treble is clear and nice. Not too bright until getting harshness nor too smooth. Overall, it’s a nice compact speakers for both home and office. Easily connect to PC through AUX connection. And Bluetooth for your smartphone and tablet.
