Google Nexus 5X & Nexus 6P are here

Yeah… The new Google Nexus phones are here. Yup, there are Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P which most of us already knew. Yup, really can’t keep any secret in today Internet world as most of the stuffs already leaked. I have seen Huawei Nexus 6P’s photo several times already. As usual, these phones are loaded with latest and greatest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And competitively priced – Nexus 5X starts at $379 and Nexus 6P starts at $499. Too bad Malaysia Ringgit had been dropped too far until they are not affordable anymore (Err… Most of the stuffs are not cheap for Malaysian now).

Buy / Rent movies at Malaysia Google Play Store

Yes, you can enjoy lot of movies by buying or renting at Malaysia’s Google Play Store from now on. After books, Google has expanded its list of services available in Malaysia to include movies now. Users can watch movies on smartphone, tablet through Google Play Movies (both Android and iOS) or PC with Chrome. Rent movies just like the old VHS tapes time, right? Or buy to keep as collector editions.

Access other PC with Chrome Remote Desktop

Remote desktop function is available on Windows platform long time ago. I always use it when I was a system engineer to troubleshoot server issue remotely. A great tool for IT support. Personally, I prefer Windows Remote Desktop function as it is a lot faster than realtime screen sharing mode like VNC provides. Both have pros and cons. Realtime screen sharing mode is preferred when other remote access to your PC for support / troubleshooting because you can see what he is going at the same time. Guest what? Google has a same tool too – Chrome Remote Desktop.

Enjoy SLR Lens Blur mode with new Google Camera

Yahoo… Android 4.4 KitKat users rejoice. You can enjoy the latest Google Camera on your Android phone and tablet. What are the new features? Lens Blur mode for SLR-like photos with shallow depth of field is the one that interest me the most. You do have Photo Spheres for immersive 360º views and Panorama mode with high resolution too. Photos took by Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) will never be the same with Lens Blur mode.

You can enjoy latest and greatest Google OS ~ Android L on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) officially. However, Google did not make an official one for older Nexus devices like Nexus 4. But the community had done it for all of us. Well, the Android L is a developer preview OS. Therefore, it should have bugs. Not to mention this Nexus 4 ROM which ported from it. It might have even more bugs flying around. However, if you happen to have CWM or TWRP installed on your Nexus 4, no harm to try it. Just make a backup first…
