Best video player for Nexus 7 (2013)

MX Player is one of my favourite video players on Android. However, there is another one that is better (or on par) with it. Yes, DicePlayer is the best video player for Google Nexus 7 (2013). It is the top video player for 1st gen N7. And easily get the crown again on new Nexus 7. Watching movie on 1920 x 1200 px Full HD IPS screen is wonderful. Therefore, you need the best video player to unleash its full potential. As usual, stock video player can’t play MKV, RM, WMV, RMVB and MOV video formats. 3rd party player is here to help.

The best video player for Galaxy S4

What is the best video player for Samsung Galaxy S4? Well, you can say the stock video player because it can play most of the video file types like MPEG4, H.264, H.263, DivX, DivX3.11, VC-1, VP8, WMV7/8, Sorenson Spark and HEVC up to Full HD 1080p. Yes, it is good but not the best because 3rd party video like MX Player Pro can play additional video file types. Example, MOV, RM, RMVB and MKV with DTS codec support…

How to enable DTS codec support on MX Player?

One of the best Android video player out there ~ MX Player does not support DTS codec officially (same apply to MX Player Pro version). Yes, you can play video with DTS soundtrack but with no sound output. However, you can enable DTS codec support by installing custom codec that support DTS. And you can do so within the MX Player itself. Of course, you can use video player that support DTS natively if you prefer.

Best video player for Nexus 4

What is your top video player for Google Nexus 4? As usual, the default video player can’t play all the video file type. So I ran some tests on several video players like MoboPlayer, DicePlayer and MX Player. Finally, found out that DicePlayer is my first pick. Lot of video file types are supported like AVI, MOV, MKV, FLV, AVI, 3GP, 3G2, ASF, WMV, MP4, M4V, TS, MTP and M2TS. That’s almost all. And it is available free to download with no advertisement. So it is my best video player for Nexus 4’s 4.7″ WXGA IPS screen.

Top best video player for Samsung Galaxy S3

Samsung Galaxy S III 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED screen may not be as good as HTC One X 4.7″ HD Super LCD2 IPS screen. But Samsung Galaxy S3 is still a good portable video player although the HD Super AMOLED colour is not as crisp as Super LCD2 IPS. Samsung Galaxy S3 stock video player supports more codecs compare to HTC One X. It can play 1080p Full HD MP4, WMV, AVI and MKV video formats smoothly. So I just need 3rd party video player to play RMVB and MOV video formats.
