Everything comes well-protected in this nice package. It came in another box during shipping by the way. Take your time to unpack it.
As for accessories, there is useful Bluetooth remote control with dedicated Google Assistant and focus/volume buttons. 2 AAA batteries are also included. Followed by a 90W power adaptor with worldwide support. And power cable with the correct plug for your country.

Design & Build Quality
Stylish in design with outstanding build quality. Sturdy plastic body with metal frame as the housing. Smaller than the usual standard projector. Compact in size (113.5 x 145 x 171.5mm) and weight at 1.6kg only. Ease to carry around no doubt.
The high light transmission coated lens, ToF module and all the sensors are located in the front. Yup, those sensors are the one that makes ISA possible.
Both left and right are equipped with a 5W Harman Kardon speaker unit. They support Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital (DD) and Dolby Digital Plus (DD+). DTS-HD and DTS-Studio Sound are also supported. In addition, they also support 3 professional audio modes – movie, music and sports. Excellent sound for its size. Loud and clear. Bass is powerful too.
At the back, there are DC input, headphone jack, HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0 and power button. The air outlet is located in the middle. Be sure not to block it.
XGIMI Logo, LED Light indicator and some touchable buttons are located on the top.
A big anti-skid pad and standard camera mount can be found at the bottom. There is a built-in mini stand to let you adjust viewing height too. That’s all.

All thanks to auto keystone correction, auto focus, intelligent screen alignment and intelligent obstacle avoidance. Of course, you can also fine-tune it manually if needed. Projection Sizes
Halo+ can be used during the day easily. I am projecting at 80″ screen size with all lights turned on in my room right now. Based on my calculation, it has 656 ANSI Lumens out of the box. And has around 9300K colour temperature. By the way, battery mode has reduced brightness than AC powered.
Below is 130″ screen size in a totally dark room. For your information, it has 1.18 throw ratio. Therefore, you don’t need a big room to enjoy large screen size. As usual, keep the screen as small as possible for the best experience.
Image Quality
Excellent optical image quality with 0.33” DMD chips by Texas Instruments. True 1080p display output through XPR Technology. It uses LED as the light source. In addition, X-VUE 2.0 Image Technology helps to enhance clarity, revive colours and reduce image noise. You can use it without any calibration out of the box. However, the image sharpness is way too high for me by default. So I reduced it.
Based on my calculation, Halo+ has 132% sRGB and 94% DCI P3 colour gamut volume. These are based on 9300K colour temp. And having around 450:1 contrast ratio after calibration. Outstanding brightness uniformity at 88%.
Text Quality
Excellent text performance as well. Halo+ is perfect for office usage. You can present PowerPoint to your group members during the work. Take it from one meeting room to another one easily. For extreme tests, Halo+ passed with flying colours. The corners are sharp and in focus. Pixel performance is excellent too.
Android TV
XGIMI Halo+ is powered by official Android TV 10.0 with fast boot support. 2GB RAM and 16GB storage are more for your daily entertainment needs. Fast and smooth. And rest assured that all the applications that require Google services will work as expected.
Yes, plenty of apps and games in the Google Play Store. You can download Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu, HBO, and many more. Of course, you can also install them through APK method when can’t find them in the store.
Video Playback Performance
Halo+ is your portable movie projector. Its HDMI 2.0 port can support up to 4K input. It is loaded with HDR10 and HLG support too. As for video playback performance, it is outstanding. Both 24Hz and 50Hz are great. 60Hz is the best with perfectly smooth playback. In addition, it supports MEMC and will make all the videos smooth like butter.
That’s not all, it also supports 3D display. Yes, enjoy 3D movies while on the go. For the most common video app – YouTube, it can play 4K@60 video with the latest AV1 codec smoothly. Streaming apps like Disney Plus and Prime Video are working properly too. 4K HDR with Dolby Audio support. However, native Netflix is not working. So TV Stick is your best friend for that.
Google Assistant & Chromecast
You can access all your home devices through Google Assistant properly. It is working great. The same applies to Chromecast wireless mirroring on Android devices. The response is excellent for WiFi 5 connection. Share photos and even cast videos from your smartphone to Halo+ easily.
Gaming Experience
How about gaming through HDMI port? It is excellent with just 22ms latency. Perfect for casual games. You can even play FPS-type games if you want. By the way, that’s on Game Mode with Boost.
Perfectly smooth on the Nintendo Switch game console. PS5 is working excellently on Halo+ too. Yes, you can enjoy all your favourite games while on the go.
