Package Content & Design
ProScreenCast SC01 comes well-protected. Besides SC01, there are user manual, HDMI 2.0 cable and USB-A to USB-C cable. No power adaptor is included though. As usual, take your time to go through the user manual.

Outstanding build quality. All thanks to rock-solid ABS+PC housing. Compact yet stylish in design. Ultra lightweight too at 50.7g only. Ease to carry around with you during travelling indeed.

There is a single button with white LED ring on top of the body. That’s the portrait and landscape toggle button. At the back, there are HDMI port and USB-C port. That’s all.

4 anti-skid pads at the bottom to provide stability. And a lot of openings to cool down the device. The side body has them too.

Performance Result
Very easy and simple to use. Yup, no need any setup or app is required in order to use ProScreenCast SC01. You can connect to SC01 WiFi directly and start to use it then. To unlock more features and functions, you need to connect SC01 to your home network.

Then configure the functions that you need from the settings page as below. As you can see, 4K@60 is supported. The same applies to HDR. Take your time to play around with them and find the best combo for you.

Yes, SC01 is able to display Ultra HD at 60Hz. The best part – it does not limit to landscape mode only. You can enable portrait mode with just single click of the button. You can enjoy much larger screen on monitor with portrait mode then. In addition, wireless screen mirroring through Miracast is working smoothly. You can also cast video from application like YouTube to SC01 too. Play all your favourite videos there directly. And you can use your phone for other stuff at the same time. However, I have issue to cast YouTube HDR video to SC01 for the moment. SDR videos are working fine. No idea why…

As for wireless mirroring response, it is excellent. I am getting around 73ms from Xiaomi Poco F3 to ProScreenCast SC01 through Miracast. That’s 4K display output by the way. It’s not as fast as cable but no wire here. And it is suitable for casual games no doubt. Twice as fast than Chromecast with Google TV with 139ms input lag. In addition, the wireless connection is stable and video playback is smooth. Just connect gamepad to your phone and you are ready to play games on the big TV or projector then.

Advantages

  • 4K@60 with HDR support
  • Miracast, Airplay & DLNA support
  • Portrait mode support
  • Excellent input lag for wireless
  • Outstanding build quality

Limitations

  • Not able to cast HDR videos
  • Pricey

Conclusion
