Finally, I found a VPN that is able to connect to servers located at Mainland China. Yes, I am not talking about Hong Kong’s servers which are also part of China but servers in Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Kunming. Enjoy video contents in iQiyi that is limited to China region is not impossible anymore. All thanks to Zebra VPN…
When looking for YouTube alternative for Nexus 7 (2013), I accidentally discovered a nice free Android application to watch lot of TV series. Yes, you can watch TV drama from China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan with 連續劇天天看. Too bad that it does not provide the ability to watch Hong Kong TVB drama. Why? Because the application pulls videos from YouTube and Dailymotion. Basically, it does the hard work by providing a list of dramas for you. You can also search them manually at YouTube and Dailymotion. If you can’t find them there, you won’t see it at 連續劇天天看 too. Video quality and connection are also the same.
Flashing Xiaomi Android devices are as easy as ABC (if you have little technical skill). Same apply to Redmi 2. Xiaomi has 2 types of ROM – recovery and fastboot. Recovery ROM is for regular update which will not wipe your user data or the files in internal storage. It is like OTA update. As for fastboot ROM, you have the chance to wipe data to solve bugs and issues. Recovery ROM is easier to install when compare to fastboot ROM which require PC to do so through fastboot mode. Recovery ROM can be installed within phone using Mi-Recovery. Both of them have their own advantages and weaknesses. Therefore, choose the correct one for your need. Remember to install the correct region ROM – Global or China. And choose stable ROM for normal users developer ROM to get earlier access to new features (and bugs too).
