HTC One X is too hot to handle. Yeah… Just like the new iPad. They share the very same ‘hot’ issue. HTC One X suffers overheating issue on its NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 and 720p HD Super LCD2 IPS display screen. You will get uncomfortable warmness on the LCD screen and back of the phone (especially near the camera lens) after playing intensive 3D games. Hardcore 3D gamers need to take note on this…
Yup, HTC One X battery temperature went up to 53.5 °C after played 3D games for just 20 minutes. For you information, HTC One X battery temperature is around 34 °C during standby. HTC One X overheats easily when playing 3D games. I knew that playing 3D games will overheat as NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 CPU and GPU are working hard. But was not expecting battery temperature will go up as high as 53.5 °C.
By the way, HTC One X battery temperature easily goes above 40 °C on normal usage like taking shot with camera, watch video clips and listen to MP3. And up to 45 °C when browse Internet with Wi-Fi connection. A ‘hot’ product from HTC indeed…
Yeah… Samsung Galaxy S III users at Singapore and Malaysia can celebrate today because there is a new Samsung Galaxy S3 XXBLG1 Firmware Upgrade for you. But not for me as I am using custom ROM ~ CheckROM EvoHD which based on XXBLFB Firmware (Europe). And this XXBLG1 Firmware Upgrade should have the same features added to XXBLFB Firmware like special effect on camera and auto brightness bar in notification. By the way, XXBLG1 Firmware also has updated modem and CSC to DXLF3 and OLBBLF1.
Rest in peace HTC… Oh, I mean my HTC HD2. Good bye, my very first smartphone. HTC HD2 was a great piece of hardware back in year 2009 (check out my HTC HD2 unboxing). It is the best developer friendly smartphone ever. Yes, you can run stock Windows Mobile 6.5, Windows Phone 7, Android, Ubuntu and Meego on HTC HD2. I don’t think there will be a phone that can do so in the future.
Android is an open source platform. And I love it that way. Because I can enjoy latest and greatest Android OS version, features, enhancements, modifications, tweaks and hacks unofficially by 3rd party developers. Yes, you will get software update / firmware upgrade even official manufacturer stops supporting your Android devices. Just take Amazon Kindle Fire as example. Amazon did not update it for quite some time but I still can enjoy the latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on Kindle Fire. And plus lot of nice features like OTG, access to Google Play Store… Same apply to the legendary HTC HD2.
