Packaging and Design
They come well-protected in a nice package. Multiple colours to choose from. Q5 has black and white. XP2 has gold, platinum and obsidian. So just pick the one that you prefer.
There are charging case, USB-C cable, user manual (Malay and English) and additional pair of ear tips (S). As usual, take your time to go through the guide.
Excellent build quality for the price. It is loaded with sturdy plastic housing. Compact in size and light in weight. As usual, do check out all the photos for their design and outlook.
Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Great fit even with oval bore tip design. Make sure you use the correct ear tip for perfect seal. Decent comfort as well. Compact and lightweight do a nice job here. The useful IPX4 splash proof is great for sports activities. In addition, it has decent passive isolation. It does block some of the environment noises while music is being played.
Performance Result
SonicGear ANC feature has never let me down. Yes, it can filter out ambient noises like engine from airplane, train and so on. You won’t hear them much when playing music with ANC turned on. In addition, transparent mode that increases environment sound is also supported.
Bluetooth range is excellent for TWS earbuds. It can go up to 7m+ with obstacles like walls. AAC audio codec is supported and it has lower latency than the usual SBC codec. Don’t forget that it is loaded with 60ms low latency. XP2’s 2.4G wireless performs almost like wired. And has wider range than Bluetooth.
Based on specs, they have 3.5 hours music playback and extra 34 hours with the charging case. Phone call experience is great thanks to ENC. Others can hear me loud and clear.
Sound Quality
How about their sound quality? Both of them have the same specs. But their produce slightly differs in sound to my ears. Q5 is loaded with V-shape sound. Both treble and bass are enhanced to bring more excitement to you. Crisp with powerful deep bass. Soundstage is decent. Everything sounds close to your ears.
Personally, I prefer XP2. It is loaded with balanced sound signature. Both treble and bass are well in control. Clear and clean highs, natural mids and powerful lows. And the most important part – the soundstage is wide. Therefore, you can identify everything clearly in return.
