Google Nexus 4

Yes, the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is here. What are the new features in Android 4.3? 2 of features that I like the most – OpenGL ES 3.0 and Bluetooth Smart 4.0 LE. Great for hardcore gamers as there will be more complex 3D graphics games for Android soon. And Bluetooth devices can use lesser power than before. Of course, your Android devices need to have the hardware ability to support them. Else you can’t enjoy these features at all. Too bad that Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU does not support OpenGL ES 3.0 (2.1 only). Luckily, Nexus 4 and new Nexus 7 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro GPU Adreno 320 does…

Android 4.3 is coming soon officially. But you can try out leaked version of Android 4.3 ROM on Google Nexus 4 now. I was hoping for Android 5.0 instead. But anyway, a faster new update is better than nothing. So anything new in this Android 4.3? So far these are the features that discovered… New emoji in keyboard, autocomplete in dialer, updated Roboto font, new widgets, updated kernel, camera improvements and more…

XDA Developer, wanam has a nice customization tool for Samsung firmwares – Wanam Xposed. And he has another one which will do the same great stuffs for Nexus (AOSP) ROM – Wanam Kit. It will let you customize Android 4.4 KitKat AOSP stock ROM. Good for Nexus devices like Nexus 4, 5 and 7 (2013)… As usual, it requires root access and Xposed Framework 2.4. Loaded with few features like enable numeric battery, change colour and typeface of the battery text, skip music with volume buttons in this very first release. Rest assures that more features will come.

Want to try Ubuntu and still having Android? You are in luck now. Canonical has an application to let you dual boot both Ubuntu and Android. Switch between these 2 OS via Ubuntu Dual boot app. So far it is working and tested on Nexus 4. Other Nexus devices like Nexus 7 & 10 should work but not tested. Therefore, try it out if you want.

Love to try custom Android ROM? CyanogenMod makes a special tool for you to ease the job. Yes, CyanogenMod Installer will help you to install CM ROM in easy step by step way. No root access is need. No need to unlock bootloader as well. Only stock firmware / ROM is needed as long as your Android devices are in supported list. Lot of the popular devices like Google Nexus series – Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013) and Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy series like Galaxy S2, S3, S4, Note and Note 2, and finally HTC One. I am sure that more devices will be included soon.
