One of my favourites ~ Samsung SideSync has updated to version 3.0. And it does not limit to Samsung ATIV Windows PC anymore. Yes, all PC with Windows XP SP3 and above are supported. However, you need to have Samsung mobile devices with at least Android 4.4 KitKat in order to use SideSync 3.0. Err… My Galaxy S4 still not updated to Kitkat yet. Maybe this will be the reason to do so?
Want to improve 3D games graphics quality on your Xiaomi Redmi1S? Yes, you can do so with Redmi 1S’s Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU. It does indeed improve the virtual quality on 4.7 inch 1280 x 720px screen. However, there is performance hit by enable 4x MSAA (Multisample anti-aliasing) mode ~ reduce frame rate. Personally, I won’t recommend enabling it on fast pace games. But no harm to try it on casual 3D games. Or just for fun…
Want to try out the latest and greatest free photo adjustment software from Canon? Yes, Digital Photo Professional 4.0 is here for both Windows and Mac OS X. As usual, you can use it to browse, select and develop RAW images. But unlike previous version, DPP 4.0 supports EOS-1D X, EOS-1D C, EOS 5D Mark III and EOS 6D only for the moment. And you need 64-bit Windows too. Any new features on DPP 4.0? Well, I just installed it. Still need some time to explore…
Factory data reset will bring your phone back to original stage (like newly bought). However, it does not work so well on my mom’s Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Yup, it does not delete certain applications that I installed and some user data still there. Not sure what went wrong? But I suspect that it is either v23 ROM or v36 OTA issue (Malaysia stock ROM is v23 and I updated to latest version v36 through OTA method). Anyway, that’s was the very first bug that I saw on Malaysia Redmi 1S. Luckily, I know how to do a clean installation. Else Xiaomi service center is the place that I am going to visit.
